Instructions for use

Please note the following conditions when using BEAMS luminaires:

1. Do not cover the luminaire's heatsink with any objects or allow it to become very dusty. Otherwise, the luminaire's overheating protection will activate and it will not produce the amount of radiation you would like to receive.

2. If for any reason the heatsink of the luminaire has cooled down below the temperature of 10 ℃, it is necessary to let it warm up naturally to the temperature of at least 20 ℃ and only after that the luminaire can be switched on.

If the lamp has fallen into the water, it should be removed as soon as possible. It will not be able to get inside the luminaire for some time in the water. If this happens, immediately disconnect the light and contact an authorized service.

Since BEAMS luminaires and their power supply units are protected against most other incorrect usage scenarios, the entire preparation of the luminaires for operation is limited to connecting the power supply unit on one side to the socket and on the other side to the luminaire. After that it is necessary to wait for the controller to load and you can start operating the luminaire. That is, in fact, the instruction manual for the luminaire is this instruction for the use of the controller TrueSpectrum.

The TrueSpectrum controller is a unique device that gives you complete control over the spectrum and intensity of light via WiFi. This ensures adequate nutrition and the best possible appearance of photosynthetic organisms. The TrueSpectrum controller is located in each of our luminaires.

For the first time, the TrueSpectrum controller allows you to control the true amount of radiation that photosynthetics receive in your aquarium. Our expert system will help you choose the right number of BEAMS luminaires for your aquarium and your photosynthetic organisms.

If you want to control the amount of radiation in common units, such as micromoles of photons per second, you can do this with high accuracy, because the computer installed in the controller TrueSpectrtum, is powerful enough to solve this task!

The TrueSpectrum controller includes a standard WiFi access point. Connect to it with any device that has WiFi and Internet browser and you will get access to the controller interface. As a controller control device TrueSpectrum can be used not only a computer or tablet but also a smartphone, as well as any other device, up to Smart-TV or smart fridge.

List of necessary abbreviations and terms.

АР – The WiFi Access Point of the TrueSpectrum controller. Its name can be seen in the list of WiFi networks, it can be connected via WiFi.

URL - Uniform Resource Locator, i.e. the name of the site where the Internet browser will connect to it and display its contents on the screen.

Connect to the WiFi AP of the TrueSpectrum controller.

  1. Make sure that the power cable is connected from the PSU to the luminaire. Then connect the power supply to the wall outlet. Wait approximately 40 seconds for the controller to complete loading, and then its AP will appear.
  2. Open the network settings (Settings) on your appliance and search for available WiFi networks. The controller network is initially named TS-TrueSpectrum-[suffix]. If you have purchased multiple luminaires with the TrueSpectrum controller, turn them on one at a time. Only after assigning a unique suffix to the current luminaire, turn on the following one. How to do this is described in detail below under the link "Controller naming rules".
  3. Connect to the TS-TrueSpectrum-[suffix] network. After asking for a password, enter lightmanager
  4. Close the settings window on your appliance and load any Internet browser. Connect to the address ts-truespectrum-[suffix].my. If the interface page does not load, connect to it by specifying the IP address 10.11.[suffix].1 If the controller's AP is defined as ts-truespectrum-001, the interface URL will be ts-truespectrum-001.my and its IP address will be 10.11.1.1
  5. Wait until the Web interface is fully loaded, it usually takes about 20 seconds.

Please make sure that your appliance is connected only to the controller and not to the Internet, otherwise your appliance will try to find the TS-TrueSpectrum-[suffix] website where it is not available.

Depending on the type of appliance and its operating system settings, the controller's WEB interface may take between 20 seconds and 2 minutes to load initially. If your appliance has difficulty finding a site with a WEB interface, re-enter its address.

If you do not have experience in the independent formation of spectra and cycles of lighting, we recommend using prepared by the manufacturer. How to do this, we have shown here

If you want to use all the features of TrueSpectrum controller to generate spectra and cycles of lighting, as well as settings of group control, please read the detailed instructions:
